I had a such a fabulous time photographing the McBride family over the weekend! I hadn’t seen them since little Lexi was just a baby! Brittany and Ryan are such fun parents…so easy-going, which helped make the session go so smoothly. With a two year old and a 5 month old, you never know what you’re going to get…but Miss Lexi and Mr. Max were SO adorable and good! We actually shot for a full two hours, and even though Lexi said a couple of times, “I’m ready to go home!” (haha!) we managed to get some great images.  (The smarties helped too!) I love so many images from this session…it’s hard to pick just a few to put up as a preview!

…any day now, my beautiful sister in law, Jenna, is going to have a baby boy! We are so excited for Erik and Jenna…and so excited to meet him!  Here are a couple of images from our impromptu photo session last week!

I was so excited to the see Beasley family again! The last time I saw them was when Tade was just days old…and my, he has grown into such a cute little boy in the last year! He was walking around like he owned the place! : ) Big sister  Madelyn was adorable too, just like I remembered! And even though Karlie wanted mostly just pics of the kids, we got some great family shots too! Two other things that I loved about this session: 1. Karlie said someone asked her if she was really going to go through with pictures, even though Madelyn had the cast on her arm. Karlie’s reply? Of course…it’s real life! I loved that! : ) The other thing is that Michael and Karlie were so laid-back. Sometimes family portraits can stress parents out, but these two were so relaxed, which made the kids relaxed too.

Thank you so much Beasley family! I can’t wait to send you the rest of the pics…there are so many cute ones! : )

I had a fabulous time photographing the lovely Stephens family over the weekend! Their little ones were incredibly well-behaved…the.whole.time. (Tell me your secrets!)  Miss Isla and Mr. Jack played so well together, and little Miss Halle was such a good sport out in the morning’s heat. This sweet family is moving to California in a matter of weeks, so I was excited for the opportunity to meet and photograph them before their time in North Carolina is up.  I had the hardest time decided which images to post…I’m not even halfway done and I keep finding more and more that I love…but these were the first few that stood out to me so for now, they will make up this little sneak peek.

I was super excited when Catherine and Andrew first contacted me about photographing them after their sealing! Although she and Andrew are both from North Carolina, they currently reside in Utah so I didn’t get a chance to meet them before the big day.  Nevertheless, we communicated via email until finally…April 28th was here! As soon as they stepped outside the Temple doors into a crowd of their family and friends cheering them on, I knew I was lucky to be able to photograph such a special couple.  They were incredibly kind, fun, laid-back, and after spending just a few hours with them, I left knowing they will truly share a wonderful, happy life together.

Although the weather was gray and cloudy, it didn’t rain, so I was happy about that!  Some of my favorite details from their day included Catherine’s amazing dress made by her mother, their matching yellow shoes, oh, and parasols…I love parasols!

I still have loads of images to go through but I wanted to get a few pictures up until the disc is ready. Andrew and Catherine, thank you SO much for the opportunity to photograph you on one of the most sacred, meaningful days of your lives! It was an honor.

I was OH so excited when my friend Beth emailed me back in November saying that she had recently gotten engaged and she wanted ME to be their photographer! Yay! Beth and Joseph met at UNC so it was natural that we would do their engagement session around campus. What began as a cloudy, chilly day, turned into a beautiful spring evening…I was so happy that we enjoyed such a nice night for their pictures! We strolled around different parts of campus, and even made a little stop at Sugarland Bakery for a little treat!   Beth and Joseph have such an ease about them…it was evident immediately how in love they are, and what a wonderful couple they make! : )

Congratulations you guys! I couldn’t be happier for you!  (And I can’t WAIT until July!) 

I had a wonderful time with little Luke and his sweet parents earlier this week!  He was THE smiliest baby ever! Kate wanted to do a mini session and it ended up being the perfect amount of time—in fact, I walked away with so many great shots I have no idea how I will ever narrow them all down!  The weather was fabulous and the warm evening light of the setting sun was gorgeous…throw in a beautiful family (with the happiest 10 month old!)  and you have one happy photographer! : )

I had a blast with this cute family over the weekend! Their original session was rained out so I was grateful that we enjoyed a most beautiful spring morning in Raleigh! Little man K.J. was so incredibly adorable…and was so good! I couldn’t believe he had just turned two.  (I don’t think my almost two year old would have lasted nearly 1.5 hours haha.)  Dalia told me she wanted mostly candid shots of her family, and I did get a lot of good candid ones, but also mixed in a few posed too, here and there.   I couldn’t decide which ones to share on my blog, so here a few of both as a preview… Many more images to come on CD though!
